How to change signature on your demat account
1. Why do I need to update my signature in my demat account?
You should update your signature if:
- Your signature has changed over time.
- Your signature doesn’t match the one on record.
- You want to standardize your signature across accounts and documents
2. How can I update my signature with Navia Markets Ltd?
There are two methods depending on your convenience:
Option 1: In-person at Navia Head Office.
- Submit "In-person sign change request form" (Download PDF).
- Visit Navia Markets Ltd with a valid Proof of Identity (POI) (PAN, Aadhaar, Passport, etc.).
- In the presence of a Navia official, sign using your new signature.
- We will verify your identity and process the change.
Option 2: If You Cannot Visit in Person
- Submit "Change of sign request form" (Download PDF).
- Get your new signature attested by your banker in the Change of Signature request form.
- Send the attested documents along with self-attested PAN copy to Navia.
3. What documents are required for a signature change?
- Duly signed Request form for signature update.
- Proof of Identity (self-attested PAN, Aadhaar, etc..).
- In-person signature (or banker attestation if not visiting personally).
4. What is the processing time (TAT) for a signature change?
Your request will be updated within 2 working days from the date of request received.
5. How will I know when the signature update is done?
Navia will notify you by email, or SMS once your signature has been successfully updated in our records.
6. Any tips to avoid delays?
- Make sure your documents are complete, signed, and clearly readable.
- When using the banker attestation method, make sure the attestation is fully completed, including the Bank Manager’s name, Employee Code, and Account details along with the banker’s attestation.
- Your new signature must match what you will use going forward.
