MNRL-Related Account Suspension & Mobile Number Updates
What is MNRL?
MNRL stands for Mobile Number Revocation List, published by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India). It contains mobile numbers that have been disconnected, deactivated, or are no longer valid.
Depositories such as NSDL periodically compare the mobile numbers registered in demat accounts against the MNRL database to ensure that client contact details are valid and updated.
Why is my account suspended due to MNRL?
Your account may be suspended if:
- Your registered mobile number appears in the MNRL list.

In such cases, the account may be marked as KYC non-compliant and may be suspended for debit transactions as per regulatory requirements.
